We’re the Berkshires' go-to for discovering the true best in Berkshire County. Our process goes beyond ballot stuffing from friends and family. After you cast your votes and submit your ballot(s), our editorial team steps in to evaluate each nominee using a comprehensive 10-point system. This ensures that only businesses that consistently excel across multiple areas are recognized. In the Berkshires, the title of “Best of the Berkshires” isn’t just handed out — it’s earned.
How The Voting Process Works
Quickly and easily cast your votes for your favorite Berkshire County business through six online ballots: one for each of the five categories — Arts & Culture, Community, Dining, Home & Design, Nightlife & Shopping — and one for voting for a single business or service. Each ballot contains multiple questions, and you're free to answer as many as you wish. You can choose to vote in all categories, or just focus on one.
The editorial team carefully then reviews the votes from all the ballots submitted and received, and then places each one through a 10-point evaluation process*, ensuring that every aspect of the feedback is meticulously considered for accuracy and relevance.
* Evaluation includes: Quality of Service, Customer Satisfaction, Professionalism, Innovation, Community Impact, Value for Money, Reliability, Environmental Responsibility, Customer Reviews, and Industry Recognition.
Once all votes are in and the evaluations are complete, we compile the results, ensuring everything is organized and transparent. The final rankings are then published for the everyone to view, celebrate, and engage with. Businesses that didn’t make the cut can always rally their supporters to vote for them again, as the voting process is ongoing. It’s an ever-evolving opportunity for businesses to showcase their excellence as well as strive for recognition
